Photo blogs have recently become more about separating the beginning photographer from their money than about photography.
It's not just here in Alberta where blogs have become blogvertisements, it's happening everywhere.
If you're like me you're not so much interested in the latest Sigma lenses or Singh-Ray filters as you are about actually learning how to shoot landscapes. Usually when you read about brands of products it's because the blogger has a vested interest in you buying that product, despite their contrary pleas. Do you believe them? I certainly don't.
I offer no workshops, no photo tours, no e-books and no online courses to turn you into the next Ansel Adams. The most successful professional photographers that I personally know have succeeded by being independent thinkers.
If you want to drop a few thousand dollars on workshops and tours check out some of my fellow photo bloggers. If you want to learn a little about how to actually take a landscape, bookmark this blog and visit every few days.
Feel free to comment or ask any questions. I never charge for advice. I look forward to hearing from you,
Dan
