		<description><![CDATA[@ Anne, thank you for visiting and commenting. We also usually get auroras during the winter. Last night was special. There as a large X class flare from the sun which happened to be pointing towards earth. Bonus, it was almost cloudless too. 

It&#039;s not difficult to shoot aurora. Set your focus. Change you camera ISO to something high like 1600 or 33200, your lens f2.8 or wider and vary the exposure from five to twenty seconds. By the displayed image on your camera back adjust the exposure accordingly. Really simple.
