The images of Gaëtan Bourque

Silence - © Gaëtan Bourque

One of the nicest things about the photo sharing website Flickr is the incredible variety of photographic styles that I’ve come across.

Members of Flickr are free to comment on other’s images and that is how I came across Gaëtan Bourque.

I clicked on Gaëtan’s name to view his photostream and ended up clicking on more and more of his photos. It’s not often that I am taken away by someone’s photos as much as I was with Gaëtan’s.

Gaëtan’s photos have  a  strong sense of color and design. The country side of Quebec where Gaëtan takes his photos looks like a movie set from a fairy tale fantasy.

Set some time aside and pay a visit to Gaetan’s photo stream. Be prepared to be taken away to a far away, wonderful world.

Happy shooting,

  4. Sadly Gaetan passed away on October 9th, 2010
He was a fabulous photographer who was also very supportive of people in the Flickr community

    He will be missed

  5. Gaetan”s work left me breathless and speechless. It took days to look at all of his work on Flickr…every photo is a true work of art. I’m no photographer, but it was an honor to be one of his numerous contacts. He was a kind and generous gentleman, and he is missed.
